25 sept kazerne Eindhoven – 13 nov Salon D Keulen

25 sept Tech & Design Meetup: EHV innovation cafe 25 sept. by kazerne Foundation Eindhoven
Radical change starts with imagination – and action.
We all talk about system change instead of patching partial solutions for major societal challenges. But where to start? The entanglement of climate, care, social inequality and technology seems too complex to unravel.
Join us for a thought-provoking edition of the EHV Innovation Café featuring:
Janne Brok – Revealing patterns of radical change: The Vacation Logic framework
Petra Janssen – Meaningful Design Doing instead of Thinking
Together, we’ll explore how radical change can move beyond quick fixes – and become the new normal. This is how imagination becomes concrete and socially relevant.
Whether you’re a tech builder, designer, social innovator, policy maker, educator, or simply a curious thinker or do-er — this is your space to listen, learn and connect. Expect sharp insights, personal reflections, and an open, safe space for conversation. We are Inclusive by Default and Give to Grow. The Future is Radical Imagination in Action.

Petra Janssen – Meaningful Design Doing instead of Thinking
Co-founder Studio Boot & Social Label, creates work and products in collaboration with communities that cannot easily participate in society. She brings these insights into practice with Social Label. Not by staying stuck in “design thinking”, but through “design doing”: creating safe havens and meaningful products for people who would otherwise be left out.

Salon D #8 – Make Sense Cologne Germany
November 13, 2025, 6:00 PM
The theme:
“Make Sense” is the motto of the eighth edition of Salon D – our platform for design, discourse, and DJ. For us at dreiform, sense is more than a buzzword. It is motivation, attitude, and a benchmark for design. In an increasingly complex world, orientation comes from sense-making.
The evening will bring together perspectives that think and act in cycles – ecologically, socially, and creatively. Our aim is to inspire, highlight responsibility, and open new perspectives.
Petra wil talk about I love design doing.
How design can bridge social divides
Petra Janssen is a designer and co-founder of Studio Boot. With her multidisciplinary approach, she has been working at the intersection of graphics, space, product and society for over 30 years. Together with Simone Kramer, she initiated Social Label, a movement that sees work and design as instruments for participation and appreciation. With projects such as the Werkwarenhuis in Den Bosch, she combines design, activism, and urban development – and shows how design can bridge social divides and create new forms of coexistence.
